SensorComm Technology Partner Awarded TECP Funding From NSF

Funds will mass-customize the Wi-NOx™ IoT NOx monitoring system

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – 10 JANUARY 2018 – SensorComm Technologies, Inc. (the “Company” or “SCT”) is pleased to announce its technology partner K&A Wireless LLC (K&A) has been awarded TECP Funding (Technology Enhancement for Commercial Partnerships) from the National Science Foundation (NSF) @NSFSBIR.

K&A will utilize the funds to mass-customize the Wi-NOx™ IoT NOx monitoring system for vehicles and will focus on access and development into global markets including India.

NSF funds will be utilized to mass-customize the Wi-NOx™ IoT NOx monitoring system.

SensorComm is working with K&A to advance the Wi-NOx™ system providing real-time measurement and monitoring of NOx emissions at the point of origin where pollution enters the environment. The Wi-NOx™ sensor is installed at the tailpipe of consumer and commercial vehicles in the transportation and smart city segments. Wi-NOx™ operates independently of other vehicle parameters and is the cornerstone of a global pollution mitigation strategy.

K&A was 1 of 16 companies selected by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to exhibit at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) at Eureka Park in Las Vegas January 9-12, 2018.

Additional information will be made available in future news releases.

About SensorComm Technologies: SensorComm’s IoT-based (Internet-of-Things) mobile pollution monitoring system (Wi-NOx™) captures the real-time pollution footprint of vehicles by monitoring NOx emissions at the point of origin (vehicle tailpipe) where pollution enters the environment.

Vehicle emissions data generates a significant amount of information providing key business intelligence. The Wi-NOx™ system identifies specific polluting vehicles, measures the amount of pollution coming from each vehicle, and delivers operational efficiencies to transportation managers that include fuel savings, predictive maintenance and performance optimization.

About K&A: Since 1998, K&A has led the development of advanced technology solutions for law enforcement, firefighters, military, and with a grant (#NSFFunded) from the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Program, is now developing next-generation IoT solutions.

About NSF: America’s Seed Fund powered by NSF awards nearly $190 million annually to startups and small businesses, transforming scientific discovery into products and services with commercial and societal impact. Startups working across almost all areas of science and technology can receive up to $1.5 million in non-dilutive funds to support research and development (R&D), helping de-risk technology for commercial success. America’s Seed Fund is congressionally mandated through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. The NSF is an independent federal agency with a budget of about $7.5 billion that supports fundamental research and education across all fields of science and engineering.
